Ratby Lions 4
Under 9's Leopards 0

The game started with Ratby pushing really hard. The Leopards defence was tested hard with Taylor Jordan and James Phillips, both putting in strong performances. James managed to block a couple of almost certain goals, by bravely standing fast. Harry Street was also playing well keeping the defence in check, but after a goal mouth scramble Ratby went one up. Michael Frew, Max Ellis and Callum Dolphin-Rowland all had strong games in midfield. Michael showed his composure on the ball with some very good passes and strong tackles. William had a couple of half chances, but was thwarted by the Ratby defence. The pressure saw Ratby be given a penalty after a very good run by one of their players. This saw Harry stand strong and kept the score at one nil. One of the Ratby players took the opportunity to shot through a crowed of played making it two nil. Half time came.

With such a good turn out from the Leopards a mass of substitutions took place. Adam Inkpen, David Burrows, Elliott Hardman and Cole Cunningham. Max Ellis, James Phillips, Taylor Jordan, Michael Frew all came off, with Harry being replaced in the nets by Cole. The game started well with the Leopards pushing a lot harder for the equaliser. Cole and the new defence of Callum and David worked hard. Cole pulled off a couple of saves that looked certain goals. Adam had a couple of runs against the Ratby defence, one being stopped by the player having to result in an illegal challenge. William had a couple of half chances. Then the Leopards got caught on the break and it become three nil. Yet again with the strong spirit of the Leopards they went on the attack, but Ratby held out. With about 7 mins to go the final Leopards substitutions took place of James replaced Harry, Taylor replaced William with Callum making way for Michael. The Leopards all worked hard but a very tricky shoot saw the final goal of the game four - nil.

This game showed the turn around of the Leopards as the home fixture was 12-2 to Ratby.
