Tigers make waves at Skegness

Mowbray Rangers Tigers under 9s took their first tournament in their stride by just narrowly missing out on the final at the Easter and Spring Festival in Skegness.
In a well-run festival, taking in three league games on Saturday with a further two league games, semi and final on the Sunday, the Tigers played some of their most impressive football.

James Rowell made some great saves behind a solid defence of Joe Ball, Matthew Lindley and Josh Clark who conceded only three goals all weekend.

Tigers' strong strikeforce saw Scott Cragg and Daniel Jane score in every game with great support from birthday boys William Graham and Kye Knipe who both scored great goals.

Tigers: D. Jane (c), J. Clark, M. Lindley, J. Ball, S. Cragg, W. Graham, K. Knipe, J. Rowell.

Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
